Category A plates

This plates are the end cuts of plates rolled as the standard length of plates are 12500 mm in most cases but during the plate making process the plates are over rolled such as 140000 m or 15000 mm or etc in such cases the mills cut the ends of the plates to obtain the standard size required and the end is considered as waste for the mill and not salable as primary steel plates. So these end cut plates are sold as secondary mild steel plates which is cheaper option for consumers who require small cut sizes of plates for various applications such as base plates for structures , flanges , profile cutting , agricultural implements etc.

Category B plates

Category B ms plates are widely known or called as defective plates , non standard plates or R mark plates in common business language or terminology this are basically the ms plates which have failed in various quality parameters such as dimensions , chemical properties , mechanical properties , etc are diverted as defective plates and sold as secondary stock. this is named defective.

Mehta steel processes this defective plates and makes it usable this plates look normal and can be used in various structural applications which don’t require any stringent norms such as body frames of many products , coverings of any kinds , etc.

Miss rolled slabs

Mehta steels is stockiest of miss rolled slabs of various thickness and sizes. As it is clear from the name itself that those con cast slabs which come across some faults or defects are sold as miss rolled slabs in open market.
